Kinky? No kidding.

For some reason this reminds me of the time I caught my women's studies professor rocking out to Ludacris during her office hours. Oddly, she was more embarassed about using Windows instead of Linux.

#6662: Wm Annis — 10/01  at  10:53 AM
Yay, Hedningarna!

Do you know Maria Kalaniemi's music?

Lauren: but they're all good! Except maybe Amos's 97 Bonnie & Clyde—that has got to be the most evil piece of music in my collection. I don't mind a little bit of an evil edge, but that thing gives me the shudders.

Wm: Yes—I've got Ahma and Polska After Johan Erik Taklax in my frequently played list.

I don't think you can continue with the geek pretense if you're listening to bang'n hip stuff like that PZ.

Wow - Ale Møller, Gjallarhorn, and Hedningarna - if you can come up with that in a random sample, you must be as much of a NorthSide junkie as I am...

Yeah, I do like Northside...I should give them a plug.

By way of Pharyngula and feministe: the first ten random-play songs on my hard drive. (I actually never use random play, so I had to install juk for a library-driven mp3 player.) It may be worth noting that such a list from my laptop would be entire...

Given your playlist included Lords of Acid, The Crystal Method, Peter Gabriel, and Tori Amos, you'd probably like the Cranes and some Negativland.

Bob Mould is from one of Minnesota's favorites...Husker Du (http://www.bobmould.com/).

To check out the Cranes see: http://www.starblood.org/images/mp3s/index.shtml

Negativland:

Cabaret voltaire is one of the orignal industrial groups starting with machine sounds and tape clips. They started in the 1970s in Sheffield, England. They're a lot harder to listen to and you'll either love them or hate them. More recent stuff by Richard H. Kirk is very, very good electronica.

Cake is also a love or hate proposition.

Anyway, you've given me some things to try out on iTunes and hopefully this may give you some thigns to try out.

Jim
