Huh? I...I don't know that. Auuuuuuuugh!

I've been avoiding crossing the Bridge of Death out of fear of the Gorge of Eternal Peril, but at last I have an answer to the question, "What...is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

11 m/sec, or 24 mph. There are many more details at the link, including the capitol of Assyria. It's incredible. The only way Jonathan Corum could know so much is if he were the One True King of England.

Hmmm. I wonder if he knows my favorite color, too?

It IS incredible; Jonathan Corum IS incredible. Both posts, the original and then the post on which it is based, are lovely merely to view--the graphs so graceful, just like the critters they represent. I think he (Corum) knows just about everything. For an added insight into his abilities and sensitivities, visit his web page and view three items: 13 days after 9-11, then for 13 weeks and then for 13 months.

It's only out of a sense of pity, John. And to make sure you aren't causing any trouble over there.

You haven't given us the crucial bit of information, which is, of course, is it an African or European swallow?

Having observed that Mr. Corum answered my question (not surprisingly), I have decided to set forth on my path to the Castle Arrrrrgggggghhhhh (why didn't I just say "Arrrrrgggggghhhhh"?), if I can get by that bloody rabbit!

Is it an African or a European swallow?
