#6, I had exactly the same reaction w.r.t. the bees. Ruins a perfectly good comic strip. PZ, you shouldn't post this on your door. Who knows what strange ideas undergrads will take away about bees.

Uhm, the worker bees ARE sexually active -- if you're a flower. Think about it, golden showers of a sexual nature, from stamen to pistil, thanks to the helpful worker bee! Makes this penguin's flippers shivver just thinking about it...

PZ--all was good. I forget what was up top during the demo. I think I convinced quite a few people to join the ranks of the bloggers. Some chemists were quite interested.

Funny cartoon, though I must admit I don't like that type of drawing.

Of an entirely different tangent, or perhaps not, I visited the friday-bar connected to the science studies at the University of Copenhagen, where all the science students hang out on fridays (well, except for the biologists, who have their own - we are sure they just want to keep their women for themselves).
While debating with a bunch of people who held bachelor degreees in various science diciplines, the talk fell upon Creationism/Intelligent Design. Most of the people knew about the phenomenoms, and we all had a good time laughing about them. Yet later in the debate, the talk fell upon Lomborg and his bad science, and some people actually defended him. So Creationism/ID is so bad science that even Lomborg-defenders can't take it seriously.
