Multimedia godlessness
- Via Freethought Weekly, it's Kissing Hank's Ass: The Movie.
- Don't Drink the Koolaid has a cartoon biography of god. Wouldn't you know he's a real psycho?
- The Pope wants immunity from prosecution. I smell a Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episode coming on. I'm looking forward to the part where Munch and Fin cuff Ratzinger and drag the officious prick down to the stationhouse for a little chat, and Elliot gets all righteously furious at the smarmy little pedophiles.

Re the "Pope" article, I'm surprised that this is a civil case. A snippet:
"was involved in a conspiracy to hide Patino-Arango's crimes and to help him escape prosecution."
Isn't that the definition of "accessory after the fact?" That sounds like an opportunity for criminal prosecution.
Please note - in no sense am I assuming guilt. However, I believe that it is time to eliminate the whole "seal of the confessional"-type silliness. If someone commits a crime and then describes it to you in detail, you are now (potentially) an accessory after the fact and you SHARE in the guilt.
Seriously, who wants pedophiles in their club anyway. Why can't the church take the stance of "These guys were supposed to be pillars of morality but are, in fact, vile embarassments to humanity. Please lock them away. We don't want them anymore."
