Neanderthal Genome
Scientists are currently working on sequencing the Neanderthal genome. The research is taking place at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Germany. Researchers are hoping that the neanderthal genome will help answer so questions about our own development and evolution. The DNA was extracted from a small fossilized bone and only approximately four grams of the bone are needed for the genome project. The news artical is here

hi,
I believe that Neanderthals mated with Cromagnon thus increasing our brain size. Neanderthals had intelligence they loved each other and buried their dead with great respect and love.
I have met people who very pronounced brow ridges that are different than the rest of us. And my God they look like they descended from them.I believe some of us carry a DNA sequence that connects them to Neanderthals but not all of us. It is the search for this missing thread of DNA that scientists will find one day and put this to rest. I refuse to believe that some breeding between races didn't occur. Besides a woman is a woman no matter what she looks like. The drive to reproduce is there.
