Save me from my own bad taste!

It's a Tuesday night. That's bargain night at the local theater.

I've got my work done for the day. The kids are off doing their thing.

The show starts at 9:15, in an hour and a half. It's a ten minute walk from my house. Four bucks.

Should I go or should I stay home?

Oh, it's The Chronicles of Riddick, by the way.

My son has already warned me away, but I'm tempted. This could be a legendary level of suckage.

Decisions, decisions.

Oh, I hope I'm in time! DON'T DO IT! Riddick is the worst movie I've seen all year, and I saw Van Helsing too. It's monumentally craptacular.

If you enjoy bad taste, try oxymoronic google searches. The combination of "rush limbaugh" and "intellectual" yields this enlightenment.

Well, as an avid MST3K fan, I'd be in line to see it, since it seems so spine cringingly bad. Now if only I wasn't poor...

Go see Riddick. Jeez, you and I both know you're not expecting The Maltese Falcon, or Citizen Kane. We can allow ourselves to be GUYS once in a while. Hold your head up high, buy the ticket, and enjoy.

Besides, Spiderman starts today, and you KNOW you're going to that.

As to Van Helsing, anybody who didn't like it is suspiciously Adult, and probably not to be trusted with vital scientific research.

They advertised the movie on the SciFi channel with an hour long "how did they make the movie" program. So it can't be all that good.

Pitch Black was good, and Riddick is a cool character but I hear this is complete garbage. That's modern sequels for you.

It's too bad really. Pitch Black was a nice unexpected surprise. Vin Deisal was decent in Boiler Room (Although to be a fair I AM a stock trader and portfolio manager, so Boiler Room was interesting to me .. to see the criminal type element inherent in my line of work) It seems the more Vin gets paid, the worse his flicks are.
