There will be lab this week! You're going to be getting a short and sweet introduction to probability and statistics. I recommend that you read ahead to Chapter 3, the sections on "Laws of Probability Help to Explain Genetic Events" and "Chi-Square Analysis Evaluate the Influence of Chance on Genetic Data". These are tools we'll be using throughout the term.

We'll wrap up Chapter 1 on Monday. Start reading Chapter 2, on mitosis and meiosis.

Answer problems 2, 4, and 6 in Chapter 1. These will not be turned in; do them to make sure you understand the concepts.
