Can anyone name an Evangelical Christian who is NOT a crackpot?Possibly - if you accept people's self-determination on whether or not they are evangelical Christians and you allow non-US (ie UK) candidates and you don't include minor eccentricities in "crackpot" (ie you mean YEC or similar level of reality denial by that).

Lippard may be jumping to conclusions. The link he refers to appears to be an advertisement, not necessarily an endorsement. Also her views cannot be assumed to be in lock-step with the church, we just don't know at this point. It would be nice to know her views on the subject, I do like my supreme court justices to be rational!
