A good decision
Afarensis reports that the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has reversed their boneheaded decision to avoid showing movies that might antagonize creationists.
Maybe we people of reason can have an effect on public policy.

Dear god why?
The Vigoda one I can understand. -
Even way more off-topicer: Ben, who is the guy in your gravitar? He looks familiar. Is that the actor from the HBO series Deadwood?

- Abe Vigoda is still alive? Good for him.

Not to get off the off topic, but Panda's Thumb had the scoop on the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History first.
According to the IMDB Abe is still alive. -
Great! Now we all need to be leaning on the Discovery Place in Charlotte, North Carolina:

Yeah, the Discovery Place issued a rejoinder, claiming that the "controversy" was just a small part of the refusal, arguing that the movie was "too scary" for kids, not marketable as the other IMAX films, etc. I say bullshit. Today's Charlotte Observer did have a letter from a bio prof. at UNCC that gave DP a firm spanking.

Ian McShane, aka Swearengen. Catch him in "Sexy Beast" as well, he'll singe your eyebrows.
