Fair-thee-well
It's county fair time out here in lovely agrarian Stevens County, so I'm about to head out for a couple of gigs. I'm representing the atheist/evilutionist contingent in the county (heck, I think I am the atheist/evilutionist contingent!) in the pig-wrestling (I'm the kick-butt expert in that, I think) and dunk tank (which will easily raise millions!) events.
Nah, not really. I'm manning a booth for the humane society first, and later this afternoon I'll be shilling for the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party. That last one should be fun—it's always great to see these old white-haired farmers come by and get all militant and outspoken for progressive causes. The roots of liberalism aren't all in big cities on the coast, you know.

Make sure to stop by the creepy Rip Van Winkle-bearded guy in the little booth handing out Chick tracts along with his self-edited version of the New Testament. He's always a must see.

We don't have that guy. Instead, we've got a booth where they administer a test to determine whether you are going to heaven or hell. My kids always hit that one up, and are happy to report that they are going to hell.
I've always wondered if it would be worthwhile to stage a tantrum and bellow, "YOU TOLD MY INNOCENT LITTLE BABY GIRL TO GO TO HELL? YOU BASTARDS! YOU SICK BASTARDS!" -

If you have the time and the inclination, you may want to take a look at Radicalism in the States: The Minnesota Farmer-Labor Party and the American Political Economy, by Richard Vallely. It's a good illustration of what you've said here.#: Posted by on 08/12 at 02:31 PM -
And by their own logic, if they are presumptous enough to rule over living or dead instead of their appointed god, they are surely destined for hell.

You should enter the demolition derby. You get to blow off some steam, plus you get to put that beat up ol' jalopy to some good use. Two birds with one stone!
