An early Thanksgiving, and a trip to the Cities

I'm joining the ranks of academic slackers, and have cancelled my Wednesday class. This is a common problem with classes just before the holiday—half the class will be leaving early to get home to their families, so if I say anything that day I feel obligated to repeat myself on the Monday when they all get back.

Besides, I've got to head off to Minneapolis tomorrow. I'm picking up my son Connlann, who is taking the bus from Madison, and I figure as long as I'm in the Cities on a Wednesday evening, I might as well also make a stop at Drinking Liberally. So Scion #2 and I will be sampling the liberal vibe at the 331 Club sometime between 6 and 9. Anyone else want to join us? I think the City Pages issue with my cover story in it is coming out tomorrow, so we may also have something to guffaw over.

1. Which reminds me that there in NOT a Drinking Liberally chapter in Eugene, OR. Isnt that as if everyone in Newcastle used electric heat? Of course it is pretty effortless to find someone liberal to drink with at a moments notice.
